I wouldn't spray any foam in the boat. My fuel tank had holes the size of your fist when I pulled it out due to the foam absorbing salt water and rotting it out.

This is true, however I replace mine with a Poly Tank and it was just loose I figured I will encase it in some foam (this stuff is not cheap) now this issue..

Turns out a huge piece of Arjay (from the Transom pour) approx 4" x 5" was blocking the end towards the transom, using a home made snake long threaded rod (2.15 cents ) and screw gun it broke it loose. I do remember now during the pouring of the transom the darn thing sprung a leak at the bottom I had no idea it flowed back that much. Removing the old ice box whatever the correct name is was a heck of a job, I am very please with the storage I now have plus huge space for a good ice cooler ! |

Why can't you use the foam from Lowes (spray can) that fill holes. I don't see why that wouldn't work as good.

Very Very important the "marine grade foam" is a close balloon system, which does not absorb water. The foam found in Lowes/Deopt is a insulator and will absorb water and break apart once wet, just not the same ..

all foam will hold water, but the marine grade will hold much less. And have you priced a can of that Lowes stuff x 100 can's WOW!! The stuff you buy and mix is pourable, get in all the tight spaces.
