Default Forgive me brothers, for I have sinned...

Forgive me brothers, for I have sinned. I have been unfaithful to my beloved Wellcraft, and I have coveted anothers ride.

I am strongly considering defecting the ranks this season, leaving behind a perfectly faithful companion. Another has caught my eye, and I judge her by not only her beauty, but here worthiness as well.

To cut to the chase, I am strongly considering a Grady 228G Seafarer, or possibly the 23 Gulfstream. The Gulfstream is really more boat than I need, but I digress...

If the day comes when you see me in the For Sale section, please forgive me. Now I will be gone...off to search the web for my new darling, and possibly to look for a 23 Coastal. :)

Brother you should seriously consider that 248 you posted earlier, with that F250 and the conditon it appears to be in you are looking at one of the best all around fishing boats at any price, put some money into a radar system and/or electronics package and you have something special.
The Grady;s are nice but overpriced and make sure you go with a newer model as the older ones have some serious issues, SV2 Hull of course if you value your spine

Those are two boats I would cheat on you guys in a heartbeat for! The 228 with bracket is awesome and the 23 gulfstream is equally sweat. I am not sure what years you are looking at but if you can get a 23 with the SeaV2 hull, rides a lot better. My parents owned an '87 that was awesome, that 9 foot beam makes the boat feel like at least 25'. Good luck on the hunt. Have you been over to greatgrady.com? They usually have a 22 or 23'r in the classified section.

Recite 10 Hail Mary's, and pass me the keys to your V. Then all will be forgiven.

If your looking for a center console in that size range, forget the GRADY and find a DUSKY 233. That's my opinion on the matter anyways. If your going to cheat on your V, you might as well do it with a boat designed off of the V-20(just bigger, and better).

No Center Consoles for me. I spend way too much time fishing cold weather...

I've had the 24 Wellcraft and 24 Grady, but the Wellcraft had 1/3 more range on the same fuel and was much more fishable. The upside of the Grady is a compartment for everything. The Grady could run somewhat smoother upwind, but on those days you really didn't need to be that far offshore. If you switch brands, IMO don't get an old Grady before the Sea
V2 hull or the use of XL Plywood.

I always thought the Gulfstream 23 would be a really sweet rig with a pair of 140 Johnzukis (of course) on the back.

Good luck AS, but DO NOT leave us.
