Sorry to hear you guys are buttoning up yer V's.
We took a long cruise last Sunday, stopped on Daufuski Island, then a roundabout way home through tidal creeks, marveling at the late afternoon low sunlight on the now brown marsh grass. Smell of woodsmoke and salt marsh. I love the Lowcountry. Happy Thanksgiving, all! |

Yes I and CB have talked about it, and I knew that was a weak point, I will fix some kind of pole to lift it up some.

My sad day came Sat. Took one last ride out the inlet, it was like glass! Then off to the ramp & home to winterize. Hope to be back in early April.

I wasn't going to kid myself any longer.....I am thankfully very busy w/ work, the days are shorter and colder, so I also put the tin boat/motor and the 8hp kicker motor[for the V] away for the winter hibernation. The tin boat is so easy, just do the motor like any other outboard....as for the boat itself I just flip it over and set it back down on the trailer. Two pieces of 6x6 under each leaf spring and that's it. A sad day once again.
