Default Is this normal for mrec?

Ok Getting ready for are trip out this week, I charged the battery's and got the motor running.

Tell tail was doing nothing but small spit, after the Tstats open was pushing ok. At 800 rpm the water had some steam to it (49*) I put my hand in it and it was hot!! BS told me before that tstats are 140?? I used a thermometer in the stream of water and got it to reed 130* Heads were hot also.

I then went up to 2000 rpm, water moved much better and water was now cool and heads were cool to touch. Is this normal for them on a hose in the yard??
Has new water pump also. Do I have anything to worry about

Thanks

Normal. Merc's don't pee until the T-stats open on a hose, in the water you will get a little before the stats open. Once the RPM's come up some the water bypass valve opens and cools the heads down. It's supposed to do this, if it doesn't then you have a problem.
