Default Specs & Rock...

Fished in a secret fishing hole around Smith Island in the Chesapeake Bay yesterday. Had a nice catch of specks and small rock on the incoming, but got chased by the rain, thunder & lightning. By all accounts it looks like its going to be a great fall fishing...

Here's the start of the trip...



Have to get some fish pics off the phone, but this young lady can certainly hold her own with a fish pole




And this is the start of a wonderful dinner. We added a few fried softcrabs and a bottle of pinot noir for dessert

Life is good. Had about a dozen rock and maybe 7 specs. All fish 18-22 inches.

Nice catch, gulp is hard to beat. Isn't Smith Island just south of Goat Island?
