Hey hows it going? I ave a question for whoever may know an answer. I have a V20 with a yamaha 130hp engine? Anyone know if it could get a water skier up? Also is towing a tube behind you really that bad for the engine?
Thanks

I would think propped correctly there wouldn't be a problem unless your skier is 300lbs. and slaloms. That, in my opinion, would be a struggle for 130hp on a v20.

Should be able to pick a tuber up just fine. I would look into a 4 blade prop that is roughly 1-2"s less pitch than your normal prop. Pulling skiers and such doesn't tear em up, it's the lugging them that kills em. When you do watersports your placeing ALOT more drag in the water and it loads them down harder. Just prop acordingly.

Last week is was pulling 2 tubes at once and couldn't even feel em. Of course all three of my kids added up weigh about the same as me. (220#)
