It's not unusual to find a V offshore, but being that it's new to you, and I really question the 100 original hours on the engine thing, you may want to make some shakedown cruises first. You have some work to do to get her ready for that kind of fishing. By big waves, how exactly big do you mean?

I'm sorry, your V will not carry enough fuel to reach the Hudson. But you have found a nice boat and a great website. Good luck,

Sorry 'bout my first reply, but the Hudon is what, 80 - 110 miles pending on where you sail from, right? Seriouisly, not V-20 territory on a good day. And this from a guy who likes to push the limits, me ;)

They'll never be happy no matter what! But I must say, I have thought of raising the bow just as you described. Then again, I'd rather be fishing ;D

Where ya from? Are those NC numbers I see on the side of that rig? I am in Lexington, NC.

Welcome!
