Questions:

So why for sale if now it's the boat desired ?

Did you change the outdrive to handle all that torque ?

What's the condition of the boat - hull, flooring, fuel tank, steering system etc ?

Trailer ?

If serious about selling, it's stlll a boat, not just an engine on the water.

Another question - does it porpoise at that speed ? Bow seemed to be going up and down on that flat water.

Please read the begining. Its not for sale. Was just trying to pin a value.....wheather it be 100 bucks or 100 grand. Yes starts to purpoise at speed.

I own a small used car dealership, and I know its *true* value is what someone would give. But was looking for ballpark ideas, as I am a car guy, not a boat guy.

If it doesn't already have em' trim tabs may eliminate the porpoising.

I would say it is really gonna depend on location...here on the salty Chesapeake bay you dont see many I/Os due to corrosion issues....so $3000-$4000. Fresh water lake somewhere could be double?

That is the best kind to go flog. Unless something breaks..
Then you own it. I see the weak link in the outdrive. Even the old 260 Mercruiser could give the Alpha fits. Maybe $8000 with the right buyer?????
Yes RidgeRunner, I kinda figure the engine is worth more than the whole boat

But, you may be surprised at how little it took for me to build this boat like this. I am going to add it all up here soon, and give a final tally, including my labor.

And, outside of actually dipping the block, and takin out 30 over with a line bore, I do all the rest of the machine work in house.
