Same old report, diffrent day..We are still fishing by our selves, about 5 miles south of the crowds, a litle more work, but well worth it. Fishing in about 20/30 feet of water now as the fish are starting to head out front

Sean, how much fuel do you burn on an average trip?

HI Blue, It all depends. any were from 3 to 8 gallons a trip. This past weekend we were fishing about 5 miles from the ramp, and the pogies (bait) were about 1 mile from were we were fishing. (We grab about 6 pogies, toss in the live well, head out to the fishing grounds, do some drifts, catch fish... go back and get 6 more pogies.....) so for the two days of fishing this weekend we burned under 7 gallons.

![]() I should/will be seeing better fuel #'s as I just raised my engine up a notch to get closer to my ideal RPM's and I am also learning to work the trim tabs and the engine trim together to get to that sweet spot.

Can't beat those numbers. Gotta love that summertime striper action! I only get to eat stripers in the wintertime....if I'm lucky.
