Default Report from yesterday

I took my girls out fishing yesterday for some flukin'. It was a beautiful calm day. We fished for about an hour before they wanted to go to the beach, but my youngest (5) got her personal best of a 22" fluke. My other daughter (7) caught a sand shark about 2-1/2' long. I thought she had the doormat of fluke the way she was struggling with that rod and sloooowly reeling it in. We were in about fifty feet of water so there was some line out. She jumped to the other side of the boat when I told her it was a shark. I think she thought she had JAWS. Then she looked at it and has been bragging about it ever since. I picked up a a few shorts and some black sea bass.

That is one trip that I don't mind being outfished.

Unfortunately - we didn't bring the camera - so no pics - sorry.

Great day altogether.

Carl

I hear ya CTT, - if were a story about fish I caught - never believe without pics - I won't make stuff up about my kids catches ;). *

And if it were a fish tale - it would have been a 10# fluke and a shark as big as my V20. * ;D ;) ::) :D

I bring the camera next time though.

Carl....that's awesome! Next time bring the whole fish home so you can take her picture with it! I'm sure your neighbors won't mind the rotting carcass in your trash can! ;D

Where did you fish?

Carl,

I think I may have seen you if you were fishing Sunday. I was also fishing in front of Misquamicut from 8 till about 1 Pm. Then we made our way back up toward the Charlestown Breachway and then back up to Point Judith. While we were fishing in front of Misquamicut I seen a V-20 with a guy with blondish/red hair, and what appeared to be a small child, was that you?

I must have seen at least seven V-20's that day from Point Judith where we launched and all the way down as far as Misquamicut. There was one guy who parked in the PJ boat launch parking area and they slept there earlier the previous night. I couldn't believe how many V's I seen in one day.

Speaking for Carl he definitely does not have blondish red hair......black to dark brown maybe. Shawsee....at the marina Carl and I are both at there are 5 or 6 V20's out of about 40 boats total.

I wish i could have been out there yesterday with both you guys! I spent the day fixing my tractor and mowing lawns with a short stint at a kids birthday party thrown in. Sounds like perfect weather.

Kevin is right - no red hair here. Dark with some gray thrown in. I was out with my two kids and my wife. There were a lot of boats out yesterday. We were there until almost 1pm also. We will have to set up a vhf channnel for monitoring V-20s in the area.
