Default Anchor Roller / Pulpit

I just finished (with lots of help from a friend at work) mounting an anchor roller to my bow. *I used a thick piece of aluminum (scrap from work) for the mounting bracket and polished it so it looks great. *I found a big cleat at the recycle yard for $5. *The bolts go all the way through and I used a nice piece of stainless steel for a backing plate. *The roller wheel sticks out about 6 inches from the bow so that the anchor stays clear of the gelcoat. I tested it today and it works great too! *No more climbing onto the bow to drop or pull the anchor and it makes it much easier to pull the line! *

I'm not sure if it is exacltly 6 inches., but it's close. I use a Danforth style anchor that is made by Super Hooker and weighs 9 pounds. I checked the fit very closely before I drilled the holes! I wanted to cut it as closely as possible so my cover will still fit! By the way, I have to take the anchor off before I cover the boat, but the bracket fits.

Hey Cliff,
What are the dimensions and thickness of your anchor pulpit and which roller/mount did you use? Thanks, Barry

Cliff, I can tell from your pic that you have a cuddy, did you move your bow light or where they split already to each side. Also i see your bolt pattern, looks like you didnt thru bolt the roller/mount.

Aluminum vs Starboard HMMMMMMM which one will last longer ?
