Default Talk about a fine restoration!!!

This is from a guy in my fishing club. I took it off of our site. This is a 17 Whaler him and a buddy of his redone. He has a 23 Mako they done several years back that is on Classic Mako.com. That is it in the final picture in it.

It a nice lil ride now for sure!!

"My fishing buddy and neighbor has restored a couple 13' Whalers and always said he wants a 17'. Well about 8 months ago I was reading the Saturday paper and saw an ad for a 17' Whaler and trailor on MS coast. I called my buddy (woke him up) and 3 hours later I didn't think his wife was going to speak to me :( .

This is how it started; stripped hull full of holes, with some really bad patch work, and a pos wave runner trailor. He faired, filled, & faired alot more, replaced wood under deck, repaired delaminated deck, faired even more, gel coated outside, gel coated inside, purchased console that he ended up making wider and taller then gel coated too, purchased new trailor, power, ect...

The beginning (see why the wife didn't appreciate the call)

He started project around mid may and Saturday we went around the corner and lauched in Rabbit Creek.

Check out the cool background in this pic :D

It's not mine, but watching the process has been fun. We are throwing distance from a couple good spots to catch....jacks and gars  and both have 23' offshore boats, so we are excited about trout fishing the dog in cold weather."

Stink, I love a good restoration. *That whaler sure is nice. *Check out this Aquasport. *It started in very similiar condition.

It's not quite there yet, but it's getting ready to have a Yam F150 hung on here. She's also got a custom T-top ready to bolt down.
