Used to go camping down there at Salter Path Family Campground with my family when I was a teenager. 1970-1977 or so. Lived in Raleigh. Then in Wilmington.

lets give some credit. he did a crappy job of preparing his city. an awfull job of saving his city. dont think he even gonna try to rebuild his city. but, he gave one of the only true interviews of the whole deal.

that camp ground is gone now they sold it to build condo's
