2WD...4WD...doesn't matter on that stuff...
Turbo...is it because the weight of the car/friction melts and refreezes the surface under the tires?...

No matter what you have, 2wd 4wd or a dam tank!! when there is ice you stop when you stop!!
But if you want any control at all, stay off the break!

I will drive in snow any day before I venture out in ice.
If I wake up and see ice on the road, I just call work tell them I'll see them the next day and then pull the covers over my head to go back to sleep. ;)
