Frustrated FICHT owners...check this out!

This boat with FICHT motors on it belongs to a couple of frustrated local anglers. I have seen the boat while headed to Dauphin Island several times, but didnt know the story behind it until a fellow angler told me of it.




"A couple of very PO'd anglers have shown ther displeasure with a couple of Ficht Outboard Motors that just won't stay running. After exhausting themselves at the dealership these guys have done the only thing they feel they have left.

As you pass Greers Food Store on the way to Dauphin Island, you will notice a boat with 2 outboards with the cowlings painted "Lemon Yellow".
Obviously a cry for help...or maybe a warning to others about the problems with these motors and the dealership.

The motors actually have stickers of lemons all over the cowlings.



I would think the dealership would rather eat an expensive repair than have thousands of boaters see this display.

I guess only time will tell........."

LMFAO, I just this year got a 2004 Ficht 150, luckily with a 7 year warranty. I have already had the powerhead replaced and it still does not run right. The funniest part is that I told the boatyard owner that I was going to paint the motor yellow (before I saw your post).
