I had the good fortune to air out a big Apache about 12 years ago. One of the most fun things I've ever done, but could never afford to own one.

I had been on a few rides, but got the chance to air that baby out with my hands on the wheel and throttles.

Then the owner took over and added 20 mph to what I could run her at safely, in my mind at least. Those boats truely run their best in 3-5' slop in the ocean.
