Default Chart Holder

I fabricated a little chart holder for the passenger side dash area.
Its a sheet of clear Lexan with stainless hinges that covers most of that area. I'll keep sections of charts etc under the hinged glass. You can see the chart if you need to, plus you keep that area a flat surface to put things, (like beer) on top of.

I am really getting cabin fever!

Fillet, will you cut it out?! You're making me feel guilty. You'll have your entire boat customized, rigged, cleaned and perfect before I even get the shrink wrap off mine, and your weather is not that much different than up here. I've got a list of things I want to do this spring, but I'll feel proud of myself if I manage to wax the hull before the boat gets splashed in April! Thank God my boat can't read and doesn't have internet access, it would trade me in for a new owner! That's it, I'm going to go LOOK at my boat to make myself feel better... maybe I'll even get out of my truck and touch it and let it know spring is right around the corner.

(P.S. I like your chart idea)

Macojoe -

I like having a few charts around that have info that the plotter doesnt. Artificial reef sites, etc. I also have a few old back bay charts that you cant find anymore.

BTW -checkout the Fishing forum if you havent already!

I'm out of town this coming weekend and out of pocket the following weekend. But the weekend of March 18th I think the cover is coming off. And if all goes well and I maintain my resolve, the boat is headed to the shop for a new bracket and outboard :D! Then I'll get the marine tex stirred up and relocate a few things, fill a few holes and make a few new holes. I'll take some before and after pictures so the Sea Drive is appropriately documented for it's long service. Then again, I may cheap out and replace the seals in the lower unit, redo the impeller/water pump and decarb the carbs! Either way, the cover is finally coming off and I'll update my gallery. Keep up the good work!

If I take it off, then I have to work on it. How do you think my 4 yr old and 2 yr old and wife will react to that!? Maybe one of you brave souls is willing to take the heat for me?!! Better yet, maybe one of you is willing to do the work FOR ME?!!
