THOUGHT ABOUT IT A LOT, JUST HADN'T WORKED OUT THE PLUMBING. NOT CRAZY ABOUT DRILLING A HOLE FOR A THRU HULL

Yeah, I don't quite have the nortons to drill through the hull below the waterline. It's also a shame those boxes drain into the bildge.

Shicks, I gotta tell ya, those deck boxes converted to baitwells would be a major PIA...used to fish in a boat that had baitwell in the floor like that...bendin' over, squattin' down in a rollin' sea to get bait from BELOW floor level...and unless you developed a splash-proof lid, I think you'd have a difficult time keepin' water from splashin' all over the deck...if it were me, I'd choose a different route...JMHO... ;D...

In my boat I have a in floor bait well, Reelapeelin is right on, if I get water splash on board, when it rains, it fills with water from floor. On top of that on mine you have to pump it out with a diaphram type self priming pump which constantly gets fish and floor crappola in it. Seems around the marina I go out of you see a lot of guys using one of those carry on drums, they are white, come in diffrent sizes and a lot of them either just put a hose type of thing overboard or do an detachable pvc over the stern or gunwhale setup. And because they are round, no corners, water circulates better and fish swim instead of going nose first into corner and dying. The pumps are right on the outside and easy to use and clean

One guy I saw did'nt even have a pump, he had a 1" pvc pipe that went over stern and faced the bow with a 90 elbow that scooped water as he moves and a overflow pipe that went along side it made out of same pvc. He had a cheap pvc valve on the intake so he could shut it off. That was one of the v20's I looked at
