Default Need a trailer

Driving home from the Keys last night I had a catastrophic trailer meltdown--- long story, but lost both wheels on one side. Time for a replacement trailer and hoping to find something used. I realize the chances are slim, but does anyone have a V20 trailer out there that they'd like to sell?

Try this...http://www.budgetboats.net/

some of the guys have used this... :)...

If ANYTHING is salvageable on your trailer...you might be able to put her back together w/ parts from Champion Trailers...they sell the entire suspension systems(sliders) w/ springs, axles and all...

Sorry 'bout your debacle...sounds like a nightmare I had once...hope nobody got hurt and all turns out well for ya!!... :)...

There is a guy on florida sportsman online trying to sell a performance trailer (I think it's a 2001) that was used for a Dusky 203. *He wants $1100.00. *He's in Orlando.
His number is 407-256-4369.

Budget Boats is where I bought my project boat from, but I didn't like the trailers I saw. I have a problem with people trying to sell tandom axle trailers after the master cylinder for the surge brakes is removed and replaced with a new hitch minus the master cylinder. oh yeah, they still wanted $1100 to $1500 for the trailers. I managed to get my trailer (new) from Norfolk Marine for $2400. Not exactly on the cheap, but saftey and reliability is my main concern. Still working on paying off the credit card I put it on, though :) By the way I never got the warm fuzzy feeling from those guys, but I can't say they did me wrong either.

Sorry to hear about the trailer mishap you had. Best of luck with the trailer issue!

Jeff

if your trailer is stoll good and all you need is axles then Champion is a good source for the pArts. http://www.championtrailers.com/

If you want to fix even cheaper just to get buy for a couple of seasons, Northern tool's has some cheap axles and all the stuff you weill need.

I used them to keep my 1980 trailer going for 5 years till I got a new trailer last year.

Sadly I'm beyond the keeping it going a little longer stage... Immediate problems are fixable with new hub and axle, but this is a 1977 galvanized trailer with way too much rust to warrant spending any money on it. I'm looking at a couple of used ones, including the one Seacrets told me about in his reply (thanks).

I had a local weld shop replace the bad metal and then took the trailer to get galvanized. I did away with the rollers that raised up and put in fixed rollers. They put the sections of the trailer in a acid bath and then hot dipped it. It ran me about $200.00 to $300.00 for the galvanizing.

I bought my Aluminum tandem for the ol' V20 from http://www.boattrailers.org/ for $1200 new with brakes. He is super cheap for trailers and he has used one's too.

Are you still in Florida? IF so there is a place in panama City Austin Machine Works, they sell new tandem axle trailers for our boats made out of 6in channel iron rather than tube iron...they run about 1800.00 or so. Very Very nice trailers
