I believe, and just for the record, that Ocean Pro is Evinrude : Ocean Runner is Johnson

Thanks guys.
Your right my mistake Ocean Runner not Pro. It's surprising that a motor ten years newer than the 235 I currently have only weighs 36 lbs less. The reason I was asking is that I decided not to rebuild my 235 and found a good deal a on a nice used one instead. I was hoping to shed more weight in the process though. But for $1600.00 with a 4 bladed stainless steel propeller, hydraulic steering cylinder , VRO tank and harness, I not going to argue. Kamikaze

Sounded like a great deal til ya got to the VRO tank...clean it out REEL good and make a fish-bowl outta it...anything but don't use it for it's designed and intended use ...no kiddin'...if ya want that motor to last, pre-mix that oil/gas and trash that VRO system ;) ;D ...

No worries. A new VRO on its way. I agree premixing is the safe way to go but to much smoke for me when trolling :(
I've always had good luck with VROs on the engines I had up to now. Installing a new VRO pump will give me the comfort factor I'm looking for. Kamikaze
