What tire pressure you recommend - dual axle trailer - 13 in tires - v20 115 - there is 35 in each at moment

Gary, I run mine at MAX pressure stated on the sidewall of the tire (50 psi) ... most trailers are fitted w/ tires to carry the trailer's MAX load at the tire's MAX pressure ... take a look at the sidewall and see what it says ... let us know...you know how curious we are ;) ...

I've got 13''s, too on a tandem set up w/ Goodyear Marathon Radials ... MAX pressure will give you best handling AND mileage (fuel & tire wear) ...my trips from SC to FL (11 hrs) and from here to coast (6 hrs) have been w/out incident, so I feel pretty confident w/this from experience :) ...

...course I do put the top down ;) ...

You probably already know this but I will say it any way, make sure to adjust the tire pressure with the tires cold, that is they have not been used lately.

Running at max pressure is OK but if you dont meet or come close to the max weight you might find the center of the treads wearing faster than the outside.

If you run the pressure a little less then max it will give you a little extra cushion with the suspension. Try it different ways and see what works best for your set up, but never exceed the max rated pressure.

I am sure some one will dissagree with me but I have pulled a travel trailer up and down the east coast for several years and have had good luck with the fore mentioned advice.

Turbo, far as I'm concerned you ZACKLY RIGHT!!...specificly on his rig, if the max load of all 4 tires is added up, it will add up to a little over the actual weight, w/ a little to spare...I'm thinkin' it's a safe assumption, his 13'ers are rated close to mine... ;) ...

i always check mine according to the sidewalls and run 5 above but if they are car radials you can't run what the tires state due to different weight class if i run car tires i run 35 psi tires at 50 psi other wise they will rub during turning on tandem trailers

I always run max pressure--less drag, better mileage.

I bought a trailer tire the other day for my cargo trailer and I asked the guy about tire pressure and he told me they are 85-90 psi for trailer tires.

I was surprised. And I asked him again. He confirmed that it was 85-90. He said you don't run them like car tires or you will wear them out ever three months.

Still sounds crazy to me.

I know one thing you should not run car tires because they are not setup for the same load as trailer tires.

My 13" radials are rated for 1480 lbs @ 50 psi x 4 = 5920 total...boat w/ full tanks, motor, trailer weighs in @ 4650 lbs so it's got some cushion, so runnin' 'em at max pressure is what seems to work best for mine ... ;) ...

Its very cold up here (north) now - if I put 50 in, sitting cold - when I get running on hwy and into warmer weather the pressure cold go at least 10 psi higher???? So maybe I should have 35-40 in here - cold sitting in yard?

That would SEEM so, but all tire pressures are listed "COLD" ... Pretty sure it even says so on the tire ...if it says "50 psi" that means when cold ... I take a gauge and hose to all mine B4 leavin' the driveway ... all 50 lbs cold B4 leavin' EVERYTIME ;) ...
