Default Bought a used RIB

Or maybe just called an inflatable boat because it deflates and fits in the back of SUV.

It's an Avon 3.50 and I plan to run it with my 1972 Evinrude 9.5 hp outboard.

Filled the assorted chambers - and it doesn't leak !

Cleaned it, bought an electric pump so the plan is to use it when and where for some back bay / lake fun.

I went the opposite route and bought an older Sears Gamefisher 12' skiff powered by my 9.9 Force engine. Little boats like that are great in the rivers and smaller lakes. I think you'll have a ball with yours Greenie. Best of luck with it!!

i had a boston whaler inflatable made by zodiac called a ZED. had a mahogany ply deck that came in pieces and locked in under the chambers. i powered it with a 7.5 honda. threw it in the back of a mazda diesel pickup ('81) and bummed around the keys with it for a week or two. by far the cheapest trip i have ever made down there

enjoy it

Yep that's an inflatable ... A RIB is a 'Rigid Inflatable Boat' and has a fiberglass or aluminum hull w a tube around it.

I suspect you'll have a ball w it!

Been getting a little experience with how to set up in my garage.....plus building a specialized support on wheels so I can move it to the water when ready.
With rigid floor installed, motor attached, fuel tank, cooler, anchor box, and gear it's too heavy to conveniently move around myself.

Bought rust proof casters wheels, and building a base with back end upright, and detachable front poles so I can move it easily.........like a Japanese human powered cab. This way, I set the whole rig up on this base, then ready to roll it across grass, parking lot etc to water. All water proof build so I can submerge it, then load the base back into the SUV.

I'm doing it all on dry land, so I have the system down when I launch / test on water.
Plan to use for back bay flounder fishing and such, when not using the " big boat. "
Will post pics - or send to someone to post because I have posting issues !
