Not bad, but to much I think. Why are all the wellcrafts in Fl. :o
Whats the deal with the sea drive. Is that a aftermaket thing or came from the factory that way. Looks like alot of weight on th etransom.

Hammer,
Sea Drive was an option beginning in 84 or 85. They were made by OMC and were in essence the grandfather to modern day brackets. Willy has a former Sea Drive boat as well as a couple of others in the Gallery. They are the perfect bracket conversion V20 boat. |

If one of those former Seadrive models comes up for sale closer to me,Long Island,N.Y., I WILL be checking it out.I love my '86 25" w/ 150 hp, however a full transom, bracketed 200, cuddy w/ a full enclosure is the $hit

That would make a great bracket boat!!
you guys all wanted to start making a new V20 at one time, well I have a better cheaper deal!! Buy all these old V20's rebuild them with brackets or what ever they need and resale them!! You don't see them making moldes for 57 Chevys, but after they redo one over they are worth a craop load of cash!! And boat parts are alot easier to find or make them them old cars are!!

Hammer the big advantage to the Sea Drive from what I have been able to determine(as far as hanging a bracket) is they have a very small opening thru the full transom to install a sea drive. And they were very well sealed from the factory. Mine was closed up by a professional glass man and I cant even tell where the hole was and the transom is very dry and strong. They also have a large round baitwell in the floor where the I/O would normaly have been. From what other guys on this site have sent me photo wise the hole for a sea drive was approximatly 5" x 7" , enough for some controls etc. to fit thru. Some of the guys on this site have closed up I/O holes which were much larger and they look beautiful but for a no talent glass man like me that little hole would be a lot easier to do and that would be my first choice if I was going to do it. Of course if you are Skools or MJ or Stinky you could close up the Holland Tunnel and make it look good
