Default Looking for Louisiana information

Hi Guys-

Apologies to those of you who already saw this message in Off Topic (and thanks for the replies so far). I was hoping to get a few more tips and thought I might have a better chance here in the General forum.

I have a 1974 V20 that has treated me quite well for the past 9 years.

I'm a reporter and have been covering the oil spill the last few weeks. I've already been out to the spill zone on a research ship and will probably be heading back to Louisiana next week (I live in Florida). My goal will be to see and document what's going on in the areas that are getting hit and those likely to get hit.

I am tentatively planning to bring my V20 with me so that I'll be able to get on the water and see how things look without having to worry about how to get access.

I was wondering if any of y'all are from areas that have already been hit by oil? Would love to get some tips and information on where to go, best boat ramps, navigation, good people to talk to about all this, etc.

I'd appreciate any help those of you in Louisiana or familiar with the area can provide.

Feel free to respond on or offline.

Thanks in advance.
