Default My V20 is for sale again!!

Yep thats right, and they want a hell of a lot more then I sold it for!!
But it was in a much much better state of repair when I had it!!
I love to know who is doing there pricing!!

But they did have a survey done!

http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/boa/1740737661.html

This boat is priced for quick sale. The boat is in fair condition. It was donated to our non-profit community boating center and we are offering it for sale.

Call Jason at 978-998-9412 for details.

Here is the information from the appraisal that was done during the donation process.

The vessel is an unnamed 1975 Wellcraft V-20 Steplift. The Hull Identification Number, WEL01690M75F was
verified. The state registration is MS 7232 AS, as sighted on the port bow. The unnamed Wellcraft has a white
gelcoat hull, with a red cove stripe and a blue bottom. There is a windshield and a white canvas soft top. The
helm station is installed to starboard and a small accommodation space can be accessed through a
companionway in the center of vessel. The vessel is powered by a Yamaha 150 hp, 150 TX PP engine, serial #
66 UL 759189 that is installed on a Gill bracket. The vessel was stored on an aluminum trailer. No
manufacturer’s information could be sighted on the trailer. With the USCG requirements met (i.e. PFDs, sound
and visual signals aboard, ect.) the unnamed Wellcraft is fit for her intended use as a recreational vessel.

YEAR, MAKE, MODEL OF VESSEL………….. 1975, Wellcraft V-20 Steplift
HULL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (HIN)……. WEL01690M75F
STATE REGISTRATION……………………….. MS 7232 A
STATE VALIDATION STICKER………….…... On port bow
DATE AND TIME OF INSPECTION….………. November 21, 2009, 12:30-13:00
BUILDER………………………………………… Wellcraft Marine, Sarasota, FL ***

Must have been a sweet ride at one time. You can see the care that originally went into her. But looking at the transom rust stains, the overall condition of the trailer, the stern panels, etc. I'd say she looks like she was rode hard and put away wet. Some people should never be allowed to own a boat. Sorry to see your love in such a sad state.

She just about sank on her first trip after MJ sold her. The new owner neglected to put the plug in when she was launched after he sold her.

ROFLMFAO!!!!!!! Like I said, some people should never be allowed to own a boat.

(I refuse to talk about the time about 20 years ago that I put my first v20 in the water and I forgot to put the plug in. We were just sitting at the dock loading her with coolers etc when my father in law noticed that the deck was starting to get wet near the stern. Quickly towed her over to the shore and beached her to keep her from sinking. But like I said, it never happened...LOL)

Which leads me to a different question.. Be honest everyone...

Who has forgotten to put the plug in, what happened and how did you correct the mistake?

Not yet! But it always worries me being old and forgetful. But I think I have a good "system". I keep the wrench and plug in one of the buckets that mount in the transom. I always take these out when I am done and will put the plug in before putting them back in the boat when getting ready.

and back to thread topic,

Ya, CB did win the "post it first". Pretty much the same comments too.
