Took a chance on a guy from Craigslist who said he would come and lightly sand and paint the bottom for $200. Although I think it could have been sanded smoother, the paint looks pretty good! I went with pettit vivid white, it was previously blue. He pretty much used the full gallon. He probably saved me a weekend or two if I did it myself, nevermind back pain...

I don't understand why everybody who paints the belly doesn't use white??...

"I think" it's because the white will show algae\growth more than the other colors for boats that are moored\docked for lengthy times. But then I don't see much "green paint" either...
