Hello everyone first post ever. I just bought an 82 Wellcraft V20 inboard outboard. The trailer, an EZ loader, needs the axles replaced before I can move it. I need to know the dimentions of the axles or a part number so I can replace them. I also was wondering why this particular boat had a NASCAR type sticker on 3 points. It said NASBOAT. It looked like a factory sticker. This boat will need and extensive cleaning and some parts replaced and if anyone has a good resource site for parts please email me. thanks.
I need the dimensions of the spring plates, hub faces, and overall tip to tip measurements. Last edited by kraken; 08-07-2009 at 09:13 AM. |

Post your information on Uship and see if you can get someone to move the boat "as-is" with the trailer.

If the trailer is in that bad a shape . . . Buy a good trailer (new or used) drive up there block the boat up, put the new trailer under it and call a scrap yard. It's going to cost you almost as much to replace the axles, hubs, bearings, tires, leaf springs, U bolts, etc. don't forget the Hotel room for 2 nights (no gaurantee that the rest of the trailer is in serviceable shape) as it would to buy a good used trailer. . . . Is the guy going to let you do work in his yard? (saw the old bolts off . . . replace the axles) . . . That's a lot of work to do and drive 6 hours each way.

Can you post pictures , a great one once said "picture tell a thousand words" :)
Axels are load rated and must match the correct hubs and leaf springs.. Do you have five lugs or four ? Are you only replacing the axel only ? I found a wonderful site that instructs you exactly how the measure the bad boy .. http://aaatrailerparts.com/howto.aspx PS I just found this also http://www.easternmarine.com/em_stor...tech_info.html Last edited by nymack66; 08-07-2009 at 10:55 AM. |
