Default 7/28/2007 Varity Pack

Just got in from a trip on my buddies boat. *We started off a little late, around 6ish, because the fog was pee soup thick. We anchored up on one of his spots and why we waited for the tide to change I became the scup king *8)soon after the tide picked up the scup set ups came in and the striper setups went out. All and all not an s bad Start we ended up with our limit of stripers and a few blues for the pots.
here are my two, 30 *and *37inches

Then we had some time to kill so we rolled the dice on an old fluke spot the end up paying off. *Final total 4 bass and about 10 fluke to around 23 inches. Not a bad day. Hear is my cooler to take home ( I don't drink when I'm the captian, so when I am a guest I like to have a few Buds ;D 8) ;D 0

Dang Sean, was this from today (Saturday 7/28?) Please don't say it is because I stayed home for nothing then. NOAA website last night was calling for 60% chance of severe t'storms along with fog early in the AM with visibility less than 1 nautical mile. Suppose to be like that into Tuesday, so they say. :-/

My buddy said we should go and chance it, but after reading MJ's post of his encounter with Mother Nature last Tuesday, I am so skeptical now. :-[

Shawsee, I hate to say it, but yup, its today *:)
Fog was in and out until about 1 this after noon, rolling out, then back in THICK but the seas were dead clam, with lite SE winds. *We stuck around a reef he knows well then hid in Mackral Cove for the FLuke.

MJ, I do believe I will follow your lead and sound advice. I stayed home here today (and many other times) because of what NOAA predicted and sure it rained here, but from looking at Sean's pictures it was beautiful on the coast. I even made sure when I checked NOAA website I punched in Narragansett Bay and surrounding areas and not here in "boonieville" :-/

I hear you bud, being 2 hours away from Niantic It sucks to get there and get beat up all day due to an inaccurate forecast and not get at least 12 hours on the water, and when T storms are predicted on top of rain I call it off.

Sean, thanks for sharing you fun and pics with us and to consider a seat on your boat, one of these days I might take you up on it ;)

Joe

Ok Sean.....any more details on the "old fluke spot"? ;D ;D ;D

I was at Misquamicut today and picked up 8 keepers between two of us (me and fellow V-20 owner Carl). Nothing real big----19-21". I am still waiting for my slab.

Joe
Bass, if you are also 2 hours drive away you must be located on the same quadrant line as I am here in Woodstock. I am the very first house over the Mass state line in Northeast Ct. You must be located close to the state line also but west of me here. How close are you to the Tolland State forest in Mass?

Sean & Kevin are really cleaning house fishing lately out this way and I am glad at least someone gets to go fishing *:D *We will have to get a V-20 regatta together before the colder weather gets here. * ;D
