Default Had a blast over the holidays on the V20 and almost sank it

I went down to my home town this week for the holidays and went fishing the Laguna Madre 3 separate days. The V20 ran perfect every time. This is the first time I really tested it to see how it ran so I decided to take it out to the gulf of Mexico even though the seas where pretty rough just to get a feel for it. After about a 1/4 mile or so the waves started going over the bow and hitting the windshield so i turned her around and came back in ASAP. Once I came in, i turned on the bilge pump to get all the water out that had entered the boat and I was very pleased when it actually worked. There was a ton of water that had came in and it took it all out. Needless to say, I wont be going out to the gulf again without watching the weather report first. After all the mess, we found a school of speckle trout and had 3 keepers. All 16"s. We also go a couple of hugh pearch and kept those also. My buddy fried everything up the next day and we had a fest. I couldn't be happier and cant wait till the next time I have time to head out. Next time Ill have my camera though.

GOOD GOIN
What was it about a plane crash? any one you can walk away from is a good landing??
With some of the harrowing crap I have come thru,
anytime you return alive and under your own steam was a good trip!!
