Default RAM mount for plotter

Santa just delivered my Navman 5100i w/ a fuel kit. It doesn't fit particularly well anywhere that I would mount it. Has anybody used or seen in use a RAM mount and did it work well. My other option is to fabricate some type of Aluminum mounting tab. Thanks in advance.

Check Fugazi's pics in the gallery. He used a RAM Mount for one of his electronics.

I got the ram mounts for my fishfinder and GPS. they work real well. once locked they don't shift underway or vibrate loose. real sturdy and made well.

Thanks guys. I went to Boaters World last night and they don't carry them. I was hoping to install this today. So....i'll either put it on the dash and block my non working trim gage or, Use 2 45* bow rail stanchions back to back with a 6" piece of bow rail to make myself a mount. Thanks.

I used a ram mount on a LCX15mt sounder and it worked great. I liked how I could rotate the souner around and see it from the front of the boat (freshwater striper fishing).

Hey Airslot...where do you live...if there's a boaters world that close you gotta live close to a dealer that sells rams

Look around a little bit

Sitiuation taken care of. Got two 60* stanchions, a piece of 7/8" stainless rail 6" long, and a piece of starboard. Made my own mount.

Not done for the year yet. I'll probably finish cleaning up the installation Sunday. Hope to fish for Rock, aka stripers, aka bass, on either Monday or Tuesday. I live reasonably close to the CBBT. Can't wait to get back out. I generally get to use the boat 12 months. Sometimes February is a little shaky.

Cool deal. On Tuesday, I dumped a bottle of stabil and topped off 50 gallons and took my baby out for a spin to burn up the untreated gas in the lines and filters.
Time to punt for better field position.
