Default Time to rebuild my trailer...lil help....

After I did a quick patch job on my trailer this weekend to make it usable again, I inspected the whole suspension/axle/hub/spring area and have determined that the whole thing is about to disintegrate.

Where is the best place to find new axles, springs, hubs, and hardware. I checked Northern Tool and they have "marine" hubs, springs, ubolts, plates, but don't have galvanized axles.

And yes I know that torsion axles would be better, but all the ones I saw were $500 and up.

Suggestions please........

Wish you weren't so far away, I bought a galvanized torsion axle last year for $300 hub to hub.

Don't make the same mistake I made and do a real good inspection of the trailers frame before buying anything. I replaced all my springs, bearings, axle and was in the process of replacing the rollers when I reached down grabbed the framing for leverage and my hand went right through the frame. The last three feet of the framing was rusted all the way through. The good news was I took off all the roller stuff cut off the rusted ends and made a nice utility trailer with it.

Ferm,
Even @ $300 each thats a lot more than going back with springs......at least it seems that way.

Still,
The frame looks to be in very good condition.....but I will give it another lookie before I go at it, thanks.

BR,
It aint bad with a sawzall and a big hammer.

I'll second that about champion trailers. Rebuilt mine last year & they had all the stuff & were lots of help.

Check trailerpart.com They don't list galvanized axles but a little inquiry couldn't hurt.
