Default Well I need some suggestions..(PICS)

I have an I/O for those of you who dont know and I was going to put the new battery in yesterday (i replace one every year). So i take the old one out and put the new one in, and it fell through the floor. I am not sure what the battery location looks like on an OB. but on an I/O these is a small platform on each side for it to sit on. So after a little digging, I come to find that the plywood under the fiberglass is now TOPSOIL. and that is no exaggeration. I mean TOPSOIL. I/O's are made to drain the deck through the rear deck drains across the battery platform and then through a hole down into the bilge. well I guess 24 years is too much for the battery platform to be able to take on water. So I RIPPED all of it out. and need to build a new battery platform for each side. Any suggestions I was going to use Starboard. I have pictures and will post them at lunch today. Forgot to bring the camera to work.
