Default The Good, The Bad and the Ugly

Well, the bad and The Ugly have been going on for the last couple of months, one thing after another with the final straw of the sale of the V20 last Sunday.( I sold it to a great guy by the name of Gregg, I told him about the site so hopefully he joins)
Now the Good, My family and I picked up our new Lab, Roccus (pronounced Ruckus)
Couple pics from the weekend he came home

My oldest daughter hannah Tacking him shopping for toys

And the reel good news, I bought another boat!! Yes, I was boatless for a meer 4 days... Now its no V20, but it was right up my budget
a 18' Steiger Craft Center Console with a 75Merc (both 86)
Here are a few of the pics I got from the seller:

Yes, the name WAVE is in the process of being removed

The boat is in immaculate condition and I can't wait to get her in the water. I have a few things in mind for some fine tuning I will be running by you guys soon.
I did research on the SteigerCraft boats and have heard nothing but good things, but I can't find anything on the older model 18' - so any info would be apreciated.
Thanks!!!
Sean

Let's lift a mug for a good year to all in V-20 land :b eer:

Ok, so maybe more than one mug

Hi Sean. Good to see you still around.
The girls look very happy with the new addition to the family. Nice.
I had seen your boat for sale on craigslist. I mentioned it to MJ. I didn't say anything here as I felt if you wanted to, you would have done so. Looks like it sold pretty quick. The guy got it for a good price.
Nice Steiger Craft. I saw that one and was seriously thinking about it. I had the owner send me the pics (still have them in my comp). We talked back and forth a bit with some questions I had, then a couple of other deals came up closer to home. Looks like a solid boat and was priced fairly. Good luck with it.

The only question on the hull I had was that it appears to have a new deck installed. I just questioned that along with any possible stringer issues. The owner said all was good.
The other questions just pertained to the motor. ie; age, any compression results available, tilt and trim?
To be honest; like I said, a couple of others popped up that were closer to home. I got the ProLine center console.

good luck with the new pup, your kids look beautiful.
on the boat good luck, one of the fellows I fish with once in awhile has i believe the same motor, been rebuilt once. he puts a lot of hours on it. he tells me he would not by a new merc but has had good luck with the older one.
steiger does build good boats and that one looks like a good bay, river boat.
good luck with all of it my friend

I saw that one too. That one came up after I made the deal on mine. No. Mine was on the Cape. Seems like you can't find exactly what you're looking for until after a deal has been made on another. Then they come out of the woodwork.

Nice boat Shawn, I love the looks of the center consoles with the flush deck all the way forward. When is splashdown?
