| Impressions: Correct Craft Fish Nautique

All: I was wondering if the collective members of this site had any experince with a Correct Craft Fish Nautique 23 ft Center Console. Anyone ever fished from one? How do they ride. Any known issues with them over time? Thanks for your time Kamikaze

one of the guys in the dive club had one long time ago, he really liked it. it sat low in the water with low free board in the stern, which was great for diving. they are straight drives with the engine under the console, right? i would think they would be OK on fuel compared to an OB. i think the running gear was exposed(no Keel) & i worried about trailering them.

All I know about them is they tend to be pretty pricey for there age. There are not many smaller straight inboard fishing hulls out there, and these things have a cult following willing to pay the premium. And the straight inboards are much thirstier than an I/O or outboard. This is mostly due to the fact that you can't trim the prop for optimum running angle, but they do hold in the rough stuff like no other.

Therm: I agree on the cult following and the higher price of older ones. I found one that needs and engine and was wondering what was the draw backs might be. How much of a issue is the transmisson in that configuration? Is running gear hard to find parts for? I'll might just have to take a look and see, if the price is right who knows! Thanks Kamikaze

Never ridden in one, but I know they have a 24 degree deadrise at the transom.
