The last couple of times out on the boat I've noticed a ticking sounds comming from the engine. Today why sitting @ the mooring I decided to investagate a ltile further ::)
I noticed @ ideal that the noise seem to be comming from the gas line, enchoing in the ball?? I took the cover off and the line seems to be less eratic in the motor itself? It also seems to stop once the engine is reving @ a higher RPM So, whats wrong ;Dand how do I fix it ;D ;D

There are check valves in the primer ball. Maybe at idle they are opening/closing but at speed they remain open due to vacumn created by fuel pump.
Slap an OEM primer ball on for good measure, maybe the old one is on the way out?

Put up cameras to watch for terrorists in scuba gear
climbing onto your V and planting bombs. :o :o :o :o Just kiidding, is it a slow tick, constant or does it get faster and slower with the engine speed?

Is your depthfinder on when you hear the ticking?

I did the camera thing, and although I haven't found any terrosist, I did catch a severly lost cuban in a innertube ;D
The ticking is consistent @ 3/4 second intervials ::) No the depth sounder is not on. I will try switching out the ball next week. Thanks!
