Skool's Pier for Sale on Emerald Isle?

I got this off the pier website. *This is real close to Skools Out, so I thought I'd share. *He probably already knows it, but here goes - straight from the pier owner's mouth:

I have been inundated with e-mails regarding the sale of the pier. I would like to explain to everyone (one time) that WE ARE UNDER CONTRACT to sell; however, the rumors are getting out of control, and we need to lay some of these outrageous rumors to rest. .......... The developers looking at this property are very aggressive and upscale; they share a great vision for EMERALD ISLE in general, as does our local TOWN MANAGEMENT! ........ Through this discovery process (time allowed to determine the FEASIBILITY of such a purchase), we will allow them to do research into all of the aspects of an upscale mixed use development. The PIER is NOT SOLD, and we believe that BOGUE INLET PIER will survive the change, if it is at all possible! ......... The Town is interested in keeping the pier, and the developers are interested in making this very valuable property a prominent landmark in EMERALD ISLE, so therein lies the key ......... Everyone will have a tremendous stake in the future of this property (one of the last large parcels of OCEANFRONT land). *We all will be working closely to keep this property the best it can be; I have been assured that we will be pleased with the outcome. I'm very excited for EMERALD ISLE, and don't ever forget, I'm a resident of this community, also! ........ As for this season, the PIER and BEACHFRONT RV PARK will operate as usual, so if you haven't gotten your season pass yet, it's time to get on with it......... TIME'S A WASTIN'!! ........... I am not at liberty to discuss ANY details of our agreement, so please understand that at this point, my STAFF nor myself have a CLUE of any details! ...... I will release any details at the developer's request! .......... I firmly believe that the pier is here to stay; do not listen to ANY rumors to the contrary! ........ the STANLEY FAMILY has always done things a bit differently; I can only hope that this project will continue our legacy! ............ Sounds like Mr. Stanley still wants to sell some season passes, even thought that pier's gonna be torn down the day the transaction goes through. *Then there'll be a couple of big high-rises in its place. . .

I use the reports from the pier to determine when the spanish/king runs start.
