Here is the basic material list...

I have 350' of 5/8 galvanized steel cable that I have been saving for "something" for the last few years. ::)


As of a couple months ago (with new home purchase) I have a yard that is roughly 2 acres and right at 500' deep. 8)


There are several LARGE pine trees out front by the road... :o



Ive got some assorted turnbuckles, pulleys, clamps, climbing gear, etc....


See where I am going with this? :D


The wife is onto me and she does NOT like the idea. :-/

That big a cable and distance, might need to consider grounding it.

I've been to Alabama once in my life....I remember seeing ALOT of pine trees. And quite a few deer.

All I can say about this project is to make it as safe as humanly possible. :-/

next, stick yer head in it for a minute or two.
then, go appologize to yer kids fer considering hanging them on a zipline.
then, go thank yer wife fer being the only one in the house with any sense.
