Thanks to MacoJoe, Phester and one hell of a good book entitled "Fluke an Angler's Guide" by Bob Sampson ( highly reccommended ) I finally tied into a decent fluke by design.
My son Thomas ( 4 1/2 years old ) and I hit the water tonight around 4 PM and did some drifting off of Tod's Point in Greenwich, CT. We only had an hour and a half to fish ( short attention span anyway----- Thomas, not daddy ) Thomas got a sea robin but Daddy tied into dinner. A nice 4.5 lb fluke that we ate after frying it in flour and cornmeal. Thomas literally ate half the fish. Here's a picture, cause as you know, it's all about the pictures. ![]() I caught the fish on a trailer hook using a "Kooler Filler" by a guy who has a website calle www.flukehead.com the teaser was a green squid with a frozen silverside and a squid strip on it. Tight lines, Tom |

nice fish strip[or did your son really catch it?]...the fluke bite is turned on pretty good as of late.Lately I've seen 2 charter boats, both from Conn., on my side of the pond. I think they're both out of Norwalk, they are right up on my beach in 20 ft. of water.Hopefully I'll get out tomorrow...I'm the bigtime landscaper at my house today.Keep it up w/ the fluking!
