Default Dashboard on Steplift -90

On my dashboard I have a switch named "Pump". I think its purpose is to activate a pump used when draining the fishbox. But it does not work. Where can I locate the pump and/or fuse?

On my '88 the switch marked "pump" activates the bilge pump manually. It is immediately to the right of the nav lights. You can hear it "whirring" in the bilge when you turn it on.

I activate the bilge with another switch named "Bilge Pump", located on the dashboard. Thats why I´m a little curious about the "Pump" switch.

It is for a small pump in your live well. Mine is still there and operable in my '89. You should be able to see it plain as day as soon as you open the hatch. If it is not there then someone may have removed it. It should be mounted between the drain hole and the wall closest to the stern.
I bought my boat new, but do not remember if it was an option.

OK there is a hole, about 7cm/diam, in the stern side of the live well. I guess thats were the pump used to be mounted. So the purpose with that pump was to fill the live well right?

Does anyone of you guys hava picture of "how it used to look". I´m interested in the original layout of the boat.

The pump is mounted to the floor and the drain hose goes up approximately 8 inches from the pump to a 1.25" hole in the rear of the live well.
After going through the hole, the drain hose goes alongside the starboard side or the gas tank and out a thru-hull on the stern's starboard side of the boat (near the removable well on my '89).
I don't have a digital camera or I would send you a picture.
You have to figure out a way to fill it because the pump just pumps out.

Click on the "Take a look at this 87 wellcraft" topic and then click on the link and scroll down to the picture of the deck locker. The pump is located in rear of the compartment. It is for pumping water out of the well.

Found the pictures, a small bilge mounted at the bottom of the live well. Ok if thats the original solution I understand you must think i'm blind if I missed it. But actually it's not there any more. I guess som previous owner took it away.

But why do I need a pump there? There is a drain hole in the bottom of my well? Do you use the pump to prevent bait and fish crap to plug the drain hoses and /or find its way into the boat ?/

I also thought that the previous owner had added it to drain most of the well, but when I saw the picture with the same mustard yellow pump, I guess it was OEM. Not a very good solution, but I guess it is better than filling your bilge with fish slime and then pumping it overboard.
