I don't use 'em, but I think they're good. Buddy of mine is a guide on the Chesapeake. He's a big fan. I've tried it on and it's very comfy...you forget it's there. I don't think I'll go with 'em because you can't wear them underneath things. For fall/winter striper fishing, bulky parkas are a must and I don't think the SOSpenders will fit over it. I think I'm going to go the flotation jacket (Mustang, Stearns, etc.) route. I can wear layers underneath and just wear a thin rain parka over the jacket.

I have a set here and they are like having nothing on at all!
I bought them for my son a few years ago, and he love it!!
You should have been there the day he said, Dad how do we no this is going to work when I fall in?? I said like this, and I reach over and yank the pull coard! *;D It was great!! I still laugh at the look on his face till this day!!

I was just telling Phester I wanted to get some these.

Most of the Pilot's boarding ship's wear these, they swear by them.

That is super cheap, although they are not the "auto" kind, you need to pull the pin, for most situations that should be OK, but if your unconscious....you're drowning
