Default CB came over today!

We got the GPS all set up and working!! Then I took CB for a boat ride ;D

Inside was calm and I got the boat to top out at 35 kt's!!

But then on the out side we had 3 to 6 footers, Boat was great!! Just take it slow (12 to 15 kt) and we just gulied right over them!

Stoped a few times to see howshe would drit and handle in the seas, Boat drifts great and with 4 footers coming side of you was a very stable platform!! You could stand and tie a hook with ease while 4 footers were coming!

So I asked CB what he thought and he said it was better then his Grady and that he wished it was his!!

It was a good day!! Thanks CB! :-*

:-X I didn't say anything about the boat ramp!! :-[

Really is a nice riding boat. It's got enough weight to push right through the waves without going airborne and landing hard. very nice indeed.
I know nothing about a boat ramp. ;) :)

Okay! Since you're gonna throw me under the bus, let's reveal the reason why you had to get wet. Knowing that you had no REVERSE!!!!!! and you put the boat onto the rocks and I had to jump off and drag the boat to the dock because you missed it completely, it's your own fault that you got wet.
No Phester, there were no plug issues. If only it were that simple. Once on the dock, MJ backed the trailer down. I attempted to motor the boat over to the trailer to winch it on. Well, the wind was blowing pretty strong and kept blowing us between the trailer and the dock. Once in a bad position, I had no reverse to back out and attempt another approach. And, apparently when you shift into neutral, the boat was still slightly in the forward gear making things worse.
We finally got the bow positioned at the end of the trailer. MJ has rubber boots that are calf high. He manages to get the cable to me and tell me to lean over to hook the bow eye. There's no way in hell I can reach down that far and told him so. MJ says screw it. One foot is a little wet already and starts wading in. Within a second or two, I said "Never mind. I got it" ;D ;D ;D Too late for MJ. He's already up over his knees in cold water. ;D I manged to get a lucky swing with the winch hook that clipped the bow eye just right.
Why is it there is always an audience on days like that? There were a couple of professional boat haulers at the ramp having a good time with our misadventures. We told them we lost reverse. They had already figured that and said they have days like that as well. No problem.
Turns out it was a simple cable adjustment. Not a big deal.
MJ did well. It's a really nice solid boat. Rides very nice. I can't wait to fish from it. 8)

Thanks for the story CB. That's good stuff. For a minute there, I was thinking you were going to tell us that you fell in the drink from the bow. Glad it was just MJ freezing his nortons ;D

I'm always intimidated going down to the boat launch for that very reason; there always seems to be an audience and people waiting on you when things don't go quite right...

Hey, so with the cable adjustment you now have reverse? Excellent!

LMFAO!! It was much better then that, but you had to be there!!

Yes CB had to get home so I adjusted the cable here at home and all seems well now. I will know beter when i get to the ramp again.

I love this time of year cause you can spend all the time you want at the ramp and no one cares.

NMow should we tell them about the Love Nest?? :-*
