Heyn JohnD,

I've been trying to buy this boat since I saw the ad. The boat is being sold by a broker. I made an offer 10 days ago, anbd the broker has not called me since....

It would be a great boat if you could buy it....

Was the trailer included in the sale?

Did you see the boat?

How did you make an offer? Phone, fax, email, in person?

Did you speak with the broker?

If you spoke with the broker, and made a reasonable offer, you should have insisted on a response in a timely manner.

If you don't get one, then you should withdraw your offer. You don't want the broker to be using your offer to get better offers from other interested parties. Assuming the boat is still available.

I made the offer after seeing photos on the 'net. I did not ask for a survey. I also told the broker that if my offer was accepted I would o/nite a check, or be there within 24 hrs with a check and a truck. I'm still waiting...

Brokers suck! They like to play games between buyers and sellers. I've never been sucessful in dealing with brokers over the years.

I spoke with the broker today. He said he hadn't heard from the seller. I told him he won't be hearing from me anymore, either. "Talk to you never!!!"

Chumbucket's right: BROKERS SUCK!

Why? What kind of games do brokers play? I've always bought a boat thru the want-ad or something like that.

I'd like to know for future reference in case I end up having to deal w/ one of these guys.

Do they actually take title to the boat? Do they prohibit you (the owner) from listing elsewhere like e-bay? Do they collect a fee even if they don't sell it?
