Default Took teh Sea Ray out last weekend

the weather was good last weekend and took the Sea Ray sundeck out for a shake down with the family. Found a few things that need to be looked at, but overall it did well, especially since it hadn't been in the water in three years. Put the boat in at Bushy Park boat landing on the fresh water side, ran out Durham Creek into the Cooper River, took the river all the way up to the tail race, thru the locks and into Lake Moultrie

could get used to this fresh water stuff. After I brought the boat back home, I backed it in the back yard, turned the battery off and went inside, what a concept, I didn't have to spend 2 hours washibg and spraying everythign down

Your girls are growing up very nicely. A great experience for them to drive the boat and go through the locks. I still remember going through the locks from fresh to salt water and back in Seattle as a kid.

yes, it is. If you look at one of the picturs I posted, you can see the river below. Lake level is about three feet down, but on that lake, it affects a lot of area(shallow lake). I guess all teh rain this summer has been down here rather than upstate

once they close the locks, it takes about 20 minutes for the water level to equalize. Durning the summer months, it tunrs into a party in the locks, it got so bad they had to put signs up about behavior and post a deputy there to keep evryone in line. Monks Corner RedNecks
