Default V20

Maybe he will part canvas.
Check out how he mounted a 25" motor on a 20" transom.

That canvas is very nice, I wonder what a set up like that might cost, any idea?

I do like the canvas alot. I would like to see that transom in person.

It looks to me like he's got the fixed part of the jackplate in the right place but added "L" brackets to stabilize the top portion.

Having had this same setup, I bet the piece of metal he added across the notch is just to keep that motor from bouncing. The little homemade "L" brackets are holding the top adjustable portion of the jackplate. So in other words, his adjustable jackplate is really fixed position the way he has it.

For a jackplate setup on a notched transom, this might not be too bad although it looks like crap.

Having the additional metal going across the notch will keep more water out and also stabilize some of the lever effect the jackplate creates.

It does need more HP though :-/

Yeah, BR...if I's gonna run that angle across the transom like that, I'd at least fill in under it to raise the spill-over level some...and how much does a can of spray paint cost?... ::)...
