Default Rockin' at the Bridge Tunnel...

Had an awesome morning bailing rock around the shoals this morning. Had a camera malfunction but was able to repair in the field, so I've got some pics to load. ;D

I'll fill in the blanks here in a bit...

Why is it that fisherman are never content. Somebody please, remind my crew of rule #1, never leave fish to find fish...and here is how the story goes...

We launched out of Kipto around 8 am. Sailed towards the highrise and hunting for rock. We were poking around and looking for good marks before starting to fish, and we came across the marks I wanted around 9' shoals. From 0830 until 1130 we were pretty much hooked up non stop, all three including me working the boat in a screaming current. Here's where we were:

The fish were running 20" to 27". You can see for yourself the preferred bait...

I had problems with my camera for a while were the shutter cover wouldn'
t release, but fortunatley I figured that one out, thankfully I don;t have to replace the camera before my big trip south.

My crew got tired of catching fish and wanted to try something else. I reminded them of rule #1, but I was the only one fishing...

We went a little south along an edge to drift eels and eat a sandwich. We killed an hour with nothing to show but 2 horn-dogs. We put the eel gear away and went back to find our fish. I was able to find the marks, but the current had died and the fish were not very hungry. I think you had to bounce a jg on there head to get em to bite, but we continued catching slowly until about 330.

Being that the fishing was slow, and knowing there were 3,897 trailer parked at Kipto, we decided to call it an early day. We arrived at the ramp to find that we were in line out past the markers. Surprisingly, the ramp operation was going very smoothly. Nice day on the bay, and I'll leave you with an average fish...

Nice fish Slot, what was the temp? Non sufficient ice here so no ice fishing photos. Must be nice to be in your boat in December! Bill Mac ;D

Water temp was 46 early, 48 midday. Airtemps around 50 or so. And yes Mac, it is great to be on the water after Christmas ;D

Saw a pretty lil V-21 out there, but I was ighting with mycamera at that point. Hope to see it again sometime as it hadmy dream top. It had a radar arch, with a bimini that folded forward off it. Really slick setup...

Good job on the stripers Slot.. I hope they move on down south so maybe I can get a chance at them! Good pic, even with camera troubles.
