teleflex 20' cable, rack helm for sale,cheap

I just assumed that V20's needed the "rotary" helm system. *Didnt think there was enough room to fit a "rack" inside the steering console. *Was it a tight fit - *any custom cutting required ? *If I had a few gauges mounted on one side of the helm center ... on the vertical face of the steering console box - *would there be any intereference. Do you have the installation instructions ? How may years old ?

the rack system takes up much less room, thats why people use it. look in west marine catalog or teleflex online. i dont have any instructions. its 4 bolts attaching the helm to the cable, and the engine end is the same as any other. you shouldnt have to move anything.

I thought the rack system had an elongated rack that is 24 inches long or something like the and the rotary had a flexible cable so it would take up less room?????????
