Default Finaly Out Front

Boat went on the mooring on Sat. and with the holiday and all we really did not get a chance to fish until today. Although there are not many schools of pogies around, things didn't really skip a beat from the move from the Bay, to the Ocean Side.
A few pics of Bass in the water.. One of these days I'll get the shot I'm looking for

My buddy landing a nice one..

a few more

The boat home at last..

Default Nice fish

You got use to the t-top?
First couple of times I went out with one new to the boat, I had to wack it a couple of times with the rod trying to set the hook.

T-tops great, I did have to adjust my hook set to the "reverse golf swing" when fishing on the sides, but there is plenty of room every were else on the boat.
Beam is a litle over 7 1/2 feet and is a good platform for a 18' boat.
We kept our limit of two fish per angler and the rest go back to fight another day, All of our catch goes to good use with litle to no waiste (Food -to Lobster Bait)...

Even decided to do a quick Fluke drift on the way in.... Be eating this guy in about 30 minutes

With these guys that were dug uner the boat @ the mooring

Great job Sean. I went out with my brother Monday 6am and started out good, we got plenty of poggies in front of Wickford Harbor, still there and on top. Right next to where the cars are off loaded in Quonsett. Caught some blues for fun in the area as well. Went to the T dock off Prudence and live lined but nothing. then chunked and bounced off bottom...nothing. Trolled with red tubes at about 25-30'....nothing nothing nothing. More live lining and chunking at the cable....dittoooooo nothing. Big strike out day, but better then work. Even tried infront of Bristol fHarbor.....notta.
Oh well guess you got'em all.
