My father in law got one of them a few years back and asked me to help clean it. He also called it a Monkfish and of course I refused to touch the thing but I did try it after it was cooked. It tasted a lot better then it looked.

Monk fish, there are a few names goose is the other! One of the best fish in the water to eat!! They are great for chowder or anything like that cause they stay toghter, others call it poor mans lobster. chunked up they are like a scollop in texture.

You only eat the tails.
