Default Fuel Economy...

Subject boat: *1987 Wellcraft V-20 w/ a 1988 Merc 150
Tests were done with full fuel and normal fishihng gear.

The last pic was snapped a hair early, *Shew went to 42.3 mph and 15.6 gph

Rpm's were 3800 in first shot
Rpm's were 5550 in last shot.
I think Rpm's were 4500 in middle shot.

Those numbers look real good. What RPM's for each? Almost 3.7mpg @ 26mph...I wish my 200EFI got that good. Not sure what I'm getting, don't think I want to know. :-/

Airslot, what prop are you running? I've got an 83 cuddy with a 94 150 mariner. My top end is 35 mph @ 5400 rpm and 2.8 mpg @ 4000 to 4250rpm.

The prop is a Quicksilver Stainless 17p x 14.75"D. Also, those numbers were trimmed up pretty high. Wide open she was suckin ducks.

Thanks guys. Maybe I'll document the mount. It took two weeks of thought, $10, and 30 minutes to build. I think it's a great place to mount anything as its wasted space.
