Default Adding an axle to trailer

Anyone add an axle to their trailer? I 'd like a tandem, would feel more comfortable on long trips. I am not sure it worth it or just look for a tandem trailer. Heres what i got

Oh you can see the amount of bottom paint I got off in an hour with a simple scrapper. not easy but cheap.

I helped a buddy repair his and due to the cost of parts and the time it took not to mention the bruised nuckles and soar backs I would say sell yours and buy one that's already set up. I'm not sure were you live but here in Va. you also need brakes on on a tandem plus they have to have a yearly state inspection. :(

I agree with Mac and 2nd, Lots of work and money, you should be able sell yours and break even or not have to add much.

Looked at a new venture trailer. Pretty much the same as the trailer I got, but tandem with brakes and aluminum $2400. That too much for a trailer. i am always apprehnsive with used cause you can dump $400-500 into tires, brakes, bearings etc.. Guess I'll have to keep my eyes open for a deal.
